the christmas tree is finally up!

last friday night, my mom and i decided to finally spruce up the christmas tree. for the past few days, our tree has been standing in our living room, devoid of any decor. we have been letting the leaves fluff out...if there's such a term. so anyhoo, we decided it was time.

we started at 9pm, and we ended decorating the tree at 230 in the morning of the next day. wow! now that was putting effort into decorating the tree. it's not an easy job decorating an 8-foot tree, you know. just managing to put the christmas lights is already a tedious job. add to that how obsessive-compulsive my mom and i can be. but we persevered and the finished product was well worth all the effort!

now, if only i could find the same determination in doing my christmas shopping. it's strange but i can't seem to find the energy (and the time) to do my christmas shopping this year. maybe it's because i don't have the money to spare to buy gifts for everyone. hehehe! when i see a shirt that's on sale worth P500, i see 5 invitations. when schmuck says he has to buy something for the computer worth 5K, i tell him that it can already buy us about 50 invitations.

oh no, i'm becoming a bridezilla!!! gotta get a grip...

i HAVE TO start doing my christmas shopping. there. maybe writing it down and seeing it boldly printed will get me to move my ass.

i will start buying gifts next weekend. promise.

which also reminds me, i have to confirm my orders for christmas. see, i have a little business during the christmas season where i sell cookies, lemon poppyseed loaves, and chicken liver pate. i know i have orders due on the 10th, which means i have to start preparing for that as well.
